    Che gelida manina, se la lasci riscaldar. Cercar che giova? Al buio non si trova. Ma per fortuna é una notte di luna, e qui la luna labbiamo vicina. Aspetti, signorina, le dirò con due parole chi son, e che faccio, come vivo. Vuole? Chi son? Sono un poeta. Che cosa faccio? Scrivo. E come vivo? Vivo. In povertà mia lieta scialo da gran signore rime ed inni damore. Per sogni e per chimere e per castelli in aria, lanima ho milionaria. Talor dal mio forziere ruban tutti i gioelli due ladri, gli occhi belli. Ventrar con voi pur ora, ed i miei sogni usati e i bei sogni miei, tosto si dileguar! Ma il furto non maccora, poiché, poiché vha preso stanza la speranza! Or che mi conoscete, parlate voi, deh! Parlate. Chi siete? Vi piaccia dir!

    Qui dove il mare luccica E tira forte il vento Sulla vecchia terrazza Davanti al golfo di Surriento Un uomo abbraccia una ragazza Dopo che aveva pianto Poi si schiarisce la voce E ricomincia il canto Te voglio bene assai Ma tanto, tanto bene, sai È una catena ormai Che scioglie o' sangue dint'e vene sai Vide le luci in mezzo al mare Penso alle notti là in America Ma eran solo le lampare E la bianca scia di un'elica Sentì il dolore nella musica Si alzò dal pianoforte Ma quando vide la luna uscire da una nuvola Gli sembrò più dolce anche la morte Guardò negli occhi la ragazza Quegli occhi verdi come il mare Poi all'improvviso uscì una lacrima E credette di affogare Te voglio bene assai Ma tanto, tanto bene, sai È una catena ormai Che scioglie o' sangue dint'e vene sai.

    My native language is Russian, I thought we have pretty similar a, o and i, but I don't exactly understand what does it mean open and closed o and other vowels? Do you have any link to read/listen about it more?

    • @JohnMario
      @JohnMario 5 месяцев назад

      Closed e is like the e in детй without the ye just the vowel sound. Closed o is like the o in всё without the yo just the o vowel. Open o is like the o in что. Open e is like the e in здесь. But longer and no short sign.

    • @skibaa1
      @skibaa1 5 месяцев назад

      @@JohnMario thank you for the answer, but tbh i see no difference between е in words здесь и дети. May be you meant a vowel like э in это?

    • @JohnMario
      @JohnMario 5 месяцев назад

      @@skibaa1 if I may use an English example, closed e is similar to a in face, but without glide. Open e is closer to vowel in English word head. Again without the glide and this is just approximate.

    Vissi d'arte, vissi d'amore,
Non feci mai male ad anima viva!
Con man furtiva
Quante miserie conobbi aiutai.
Sempre con fè sincera
La mia preghiera
Ai santi tabernacoli salì.
Sempre con fè sincera
Diedi fiori agli altar.
Nell'ora del dolore
Perché, perché, Signore,
Perché me ne rimuneri così?
Diedi gioielli della Madonna al manto,
E diedi il canto agli astri, al ciel,
Che ne ridean più belli.
Nell'ora del dolore,
Perché, perché, Signore,
Ah, perché me ne rimuneri così?
